Manuscripts over 40,000 words are charged at USD 18 per 1,000 words. Over 100,000 words, ask for a project quote.

Certificates, transcripts and other short standard documents are quoted per page. A certificate of translation accuracy is USD 15 per document.

Developmental editing

Hours agreed in advance with a fixed ceiling. Article 4–8 h, thesis chapter 6–10 h.
Formatting & submission prep

Journal or thesis templates, reference-style conversion, figure and table setting.

How the price is worked out
- Word count. Your body text, including footnotes. Reference lists, tables and appendices only if you ask us to edit them.
- Minimum charge. 500 words, so a 200-word abstract is charged as 500.
- Rate. Set by service, language and return time, from the tables above.
- Total. Billable words ÷ 1,000 × rate, shown in your chosen currency before you commit.
Currency conversion is indicative and updated periodically; you are invoiced in the currency you select. We do not add card surcharges. Any tax that applies in your country is your responsibility and is stated on the invoice.

Questions about price
Are there discounts?
Two are automatic: manuscripts over 40,000 words drop to USD 18 per 1,000, and developmental editing hours are credited against a later language edit on the same project, up to five hours. We also quote reduced project rates for departments and research groups sending regular work — ask.
Do I pay before or after the work?
Before, for orders under USD 400, because it fixes your place in the schedule. Larger projects and book-length work are paid in stages against delivered chapters. Institutions with an approved purchase order are invoiced on delivery.
What if the word count changes after I order?
We check the count when your file arrives. If it is materially different we contact you with the corrected price before starting, and you can cancel at no charge. We never quietly bill more than the quote.
Is there a charge for revisions?
No, for 14 days after delivery, on the document we edited. If you rewrite substantial sections and want those edited too, the new text is charged at the normal rate. The full terms are on the revisions and refunds page.
